We would like to honour the life of Jacqui Geia who passed away in February 2007.  Jacqui was part of The Seed since its inception, and was one of the driving forces in setting it up, conceptualising what it could become, and inspiring others to come on board and be a part of this movement.  Jacqui worked relentlessly in helping hundreds of emerging and established artists, and Arts workers, get grants, set up tours and organise festivals most of which she did for little or no money.  Her loss will resonate through the many communities she touched.  We are inspired and honored to have known her and to have had the opportunity to work with  her on this project.  We will continue to advance her ethos of nurturing and growing the Australian Arts community.
Keep the fire alive.

In the beginning we felt it was necessary for this fund to have credentials and for that my intials served well. But now as we look towards the next five years it’s time to put the next phase of the plan in motion. This is an Initiative funded BY the music community FOR the music community and I feel The Seed best represents our inclusive approach” John Butler
