"So much of what I've learned has come from fellow musicians and music industry professionals sharing their time and experiences with me, so I'm proud to contribute to The Seed Fund"
— WALTER DEBACKER - GOYTE
“Culture is an imperative part of any society. From great societies in history, it is the cultural figures and their work that we remember and learn from, not their business leaders. Unfortunately most modern societies don’t recognise this, and very few resources are put into developing contemporary culture. I am delighted to support the JB Seed, and tip my hat to John and Danielle for their gift to young artists, especially for the opportunities created for remote and indigenous artists for whom it is much harder to have their voices heard.”
— BILL CULLEN - ONE LOUDER MANAGEMENT
“Being involved in The Seed is one of the most rewarding things I do each year, and I am thrilled to participate as a panelist on the Management workshop and as a financial contributor. It’s great to see funding going directly into the hands of artists and aspiring managers who deserve it, and who are well supported by ‘The Seed’ as they make effective in-roads into the music industry. I look forward to being further inspired by this process”
— CORRENE WILKIE - MANAGER THE CAT EMPIRE & JACKSON JACKSON
When Danielle and I first started the fund we always intended for it to grow into something that wasn’t just funded by ourselves but contributed to by many movers and shakers within the Australian music community. In the beginning we felt it was necessary for this fund to have credentials and for that my initials served well. But now as we look towards the next five years it’s time to put the next phase of the plan in motion. This is an Initiative funded BY the music community FOR the music community and I feel The Seed best represents our inclusive approach”
